Earn money with surveys: Google Opinion Rewards

Google Opinion Rewards

A few years ago, Google released the not-so-popular Opinion Rewards app , which users can use to earn credit for their Play account by answering short questions. The app has also been available in Germany since mid-2014 and regularly delivers surveys. The app has now received a small update and is now also available for users in Austria and Switzerland.

When market researchers want to collect opinions from people, they either take to the streets or distribute their forms on various websites and advertise them with expensive ads. A few years ago, Google created a platform with the Opinion Rewards app so that these surveys go to the right users in a very targeted manner and they also have added value from answering the questions.
Opinion Rewards works according to a simple principle: As a user, you have to register in a few steps and enter your name, approximate age, place of residence and some areas of interest. Then you get repeatedly delivered surveys, which are only relatively short and can be answered in a short quiet moment. For a successfully completed survey, you will then receive a credit that can be redeemed in the Play Store.

The app can now also be used in Austria and Switzerland, because for more than two and a half years only German-speaking users from Germany have been able to take part in such surveys. Of course, the system works exactly like this. The surveys are anonymous and therefore no link to the Google account is necessary. Any credit earned will expire after one year and cannot be exchanged for cash.

In addition to this rollout to more countries, the app has also received a small update and now has a new sidebar. In this you can switch between the current surveys, the surveys answered so far and the settings. In the newly created settings there is now the option to be notified of a new survey by sound. There is also a link to the location history, so that surveys can also be delivered based on the locations visited.

The new version, including support for Austria and Switzerland, has been rolled out via the Play Store for two days. If you want to have the app right away and start taking the surveys, you can download the file as usual from APK Mirror and install it directly. It remains to be seen whether the update will also increase the number of surveys - because play credit is known to be in high demand.
